Zhengzhou Haichang Ocean Park is one of the largest inland marine theme parks in China, combining marine exhibitions, immersive themed environments, large-scale live entertainment, and cultural tourism. As a major landmark destination in Central China, the park operates on a massive scale, welcoming thousands of visitors daily during its grand opening period and featuring high-impact outdoor performance experiences throughout the day.
I served as the Lead Costume Designer for the park’s Grand Opening Seven-Themed Parade, responsible for developing the complete costume visual system across seven distinct parade units. My work included conceptual world-building, character styling, and costume renderings, creating cohesive yet diverse identities for each theme. The designs balance visual spectacle with performer mobility and production feasibility, forming a unified parade language that supports large ensemble performance within a theme park environment.
